Life as I know it:)

I hope everyone is having a Terrific Tuesday:) Life as I know has reached a pinnacle of endless days in which I am not quite sure what to do with myself:( My girls are only on there 4th day of school and the house is like a big empty cavern. I can yell and it echos back at me. Ok not quite but you get the idea. I thought I would be eager to jump right into my craft cave everyday and work away until they came home. But I am just not finding the MOJO. Maybe thats it I just don't have any MOJO for it right now. What ever the case maybe the days seem to drag on and i find the clocks in my house to be the enemy. We are at war I want them to go forward and they seem to stand frozen in time moving at a snails pace clicking away tick, tick, tick. My Dh will come home one day to find them all in pieces LOL Declaring my victory!!

Well now that I have ranted like an insane women LOL I do have an ATC I would like to share with you. I created this for a Secret sister partner swap in one of my Cafe mom Groups I could not show it until today cause I wanted to make sure she received it before I revealed it. Here is "Life's Flower"

I hand made the ribbon flower on the card. It was very simple and fun to make until next time. Create great ART!!

Many Shades of Blue

So without further ado here is my take on the challenge using one of the wonderful images from Delicious Doodles Called  "Kissing Butterflies"

All is Good

We all prepared for the worst but hoped  for the best on Friday knowing the Hurricane was coming. I am please to know that everyone I know including myself has reported that it has mostly been just a lot of wind and rain. No flooding in our area All is Good. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were not as fortunate as us. We will be thinking of you and hope for a quick recovery.

Now It seems lately that have not been posting daily like I used. It is not that I have not been in My Craft Cave working. I am now on 2 Design Teams plus I will Guest designing next month on the Burtonesque Dolls. So a lot of the time I am in there working the items I am working on I just can not revive to you just yet but you will see them eventually I promise:)

I do have something I can share with you I made for a swap in one of my Cafe Mom groups. It is a Photo Mat frame for a Themed Month swap I had the Month of October my favorite Month. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Until next time Create great ART!!

Recycled and Reused

As I had plenty of time on my hands today since the girls started school. I decided to spend a little time in the craft cave getting some projects dome for some swaps I have due. One is a Recycled  ATC Swap. Where we were to create ATC's using recycled materials. I choose to use newspaper clipping and beer caps I had been collecting to make mine. Empty House

The  house is so quiet it is eery. I can hear everything from the dripping of the faucet someone did not turn off all the way to the dog licking her paws so intently. My house is to quiet!! My Girls have started public school today:( After homeschooling them for so many years they decided they want to try public school this year. My husband and I had agreed we would only homeschool them as long as they wanted to be homeschooled. Well last year was their final year. Here I sit on there first day of Public school and I feel like my heart is breaking in 2. I miss them both so terribly already I know as time goes by that it will not be as bad  but  I am used to my girls being with me at all times. It really is weird not having them here. To not be able to just go up stairs and peek in on them or see what they are up to;( Well Here are some picts of my Beautiful Ladies:) I think I will go and Hide in my Craft Cave and create some Art to elevate some pain and help take my mind away for a while:)

Our challenge this week at Craft Your Passion was A.B.C. (Anything But a Card). For my creation this week I took my wonderful image Besty and Sam from Pixie Cottage and altered a wooden serving tray. I first painted it with acrylics and sealed in my paint. Then I added my lace around my tray. I then added my fan folds and image to finish off my project:) Hope you enjoy:)

My Love

Well This is a late night post for me. I have been holed up in my craft cave working on projects for the DT I am on. SO where I may not be posting my usually everyday ATC's I have been working on projects you just have to wait to see the goodies sorry:(

But My DH saw I was so engrossed in my projects this evening that he made dinner. I came down to start dinner and it was almost done. I sure do love that man. After dinner I scurried back up my stairs into my craft cave and decided to make an ATC for my DH to show him how much I appreciate the little things he does:) Here is the Card I created I called it " MY Love" The saying in the center says "The Best Thing In Life Is Love"  My Dh is surly the best thing in my life so it certainly fits. The Balance Must be Maintained:)

Oh what a fun challenge this was!! Over at Forever Night Challenges this week They have the Challenge of  Midnight in the Garden of Good Vs Evil.  So you can make what ever you want representing Good VS Evil. Of course wheels went a spinning and what a better representation of the age old battle of good and evil then the Yin and Yang. There can be no light without the dark. They can not exist with out each other So began my ATC and here is my final result for the challenge:

ZENTANGLE You Say :)

Well one of my Groups had a challenge to create a Zentangle ATC:) As you know I always love a good challenge and as I have never dabbled in the art of Zentangles what a better way to learn:)

Super Saturday:)

I hope everyone is having a Super Saturday!! I know I did. After spending all yesterday out in the trenches of back to school shopping UGH!! Ok no where near as fun as shopping for craft supplies. I was ready for some down time in my craft cave.I am happy to announce though that all my girls supplies for school are bought and they are ready. YIPPEE time to do the snoopy happy dance:)

So today I decide time to get another ATC done I have been neglected my beloved ATC's lately in loo of other projects. And what a better chance when you see a challenge presented :)

ATC Sisterhood has a challenge up to create an ATC's using an apple so with out further hesitation drum roll please lol can you see i am amusing myself this evening hehe
Here is my card:)

I used Hello Kitty cart to create the Apple cut

The cut has an Action Wobble on it so it moves

I then glimmer misted everything

I added glossy accent to the apple to make it shine

added flower brads to the corners

It's official!!

Well it is official I took the papers out to the schools today. My daughters will be going to public school in a couple weeks and no longer be Homeschooled by MOM. It is a bittersweet day. I will miss having my girls home with me but this is what they wanted so of to school they go. Up until the first day I wake their tiny butts up at 6am LOL. Then they will be like what were we thinking.  No more late nights and sleeping in the morning. As for Mom I guess that leaves my days free for more crafting hehehe:) Oh what a tragic life for me:) I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thurday:) Until next time Create Great ART!!

Love Vow

Hello to all my friends in Blog land. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. I just spent the last 2 days taking my 8yr old to a Hip Hop clinic at her dance studio to see if she would be interested in adding Hip Hop to her Ballet and Tap this year. Well Of course she fell in love with it. So it looks like I will be spending my friday nights in a dance studio. With three classes we will be there from 4:30 -7:00 every friday. Makes for a long night of dancing.

Well on to my project for today. It is an ATC I had done for a swap in one of my groups and just have not posted yet. The swap was a black and white swap but we were allowed to use one color as long as it did not over power our black and white. My card is titled "Love Vow" and you can probably guess why :)

I chose to alter a wooded Plaque for my Youngest daughter who is a dancer:) I had one sitting around in my craft room  so here is my creation:)

I Started with a wooded plaque base painted it white

I have exciting news to share with everyone today. I was selected to be on Craft Your Passions Challenges Design Team. Which is very exciting so going forward you will be seeing some other projects other than my usually love and passion ATC's. I am very happy to have been selected. The group of ladies on the team are brimming over with talent I hope I can keep up. LOL!!
